AT Mpungose and Dlamini Incorporated (ATMD) is a successor in title of Tomlinson Mnguni James Incorporated (TMJ)’s Public Law department. The department was established, developed, and headed by Agrippa Mpungose — one of the founders of ATMD — in 2009.
ATMD bought this department from TMJ as a going concern and opened its doors on the 1st of July 2020. Today, under the new trading name, we continue to offer a wide range of services to provincial departments, municipalities, state-owned entities, and private entities.

Mpungose is a founding director of AT Mpungose and Dlamini Inc. with 20 years' experience as an admitted attorney of the High Court. He specialises in administrative and public procurement law, construction law, commercial law, and drafting of by-laws and policies.
Magaba holds an LLB degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and has over six years' experience as an admitted attorney of the High Court.
Lungile joined AT Mpungose and Dlamini Inc. as a Candidate Legal Practitioner in 2022 and was admitted as a Candidate Attorney in January 2025, shortly thereafter being appointed as an Associate in February 2025. She holds an LLB degree from Nelson Mandela University.
Asisipho Madikizela is a junior Candidate Attorney. She obtained her LLB degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg in 2024 and joined our team in June of the same year.
Mthokozisi Goodwill Mkhize is a junior candidate attorney, having joined ATMD team in January 2025. He obtained his LLB degree from the University of Kwazulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg (2023).
Hlompho Katlego Xaba is a first year Candidate Attorney who joined the team in January of 2026. She holds two qualifications from the University of Pretoria: BA Law (2023) and LLB (2025).
Asanda Sinenhlanhla Dlamini is a junior candidate attorney who joined the team in November 2025. She obtained her LLB degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Pietermaritzburg in 2025.
With over 10 years of experience in office administration and business operations, Zimephi has developed extensive expertise in financial administration, office systems, compliance, and organisational management. She plays a key role in maintaining efficient workflows, supporting the firm's strategic objectives, and fostering a professional environment that promotes operational excellence and exceptional client service.
Kristen brings over 11 years of extensive experience gained across four different law firms. She has developed a broad and well-rounded understanding of various areas of legal practice, including litigation, deceased estates, commercial matters, family law, labour law, and general legal administration. As a Legal Secretary, Kristen is recognised for her strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex legal matters efficiently.
